Meeting the greatest needs
Edensor is part of the charity Diagrama Foundation, which supports vulnerable children and adults. As part of our charitable aims, we focus on offering placements to people in the greatest need. While we do accept privately funded placements, these are limited, to ensure we remain focused on the charity’s vision. Edensor is a not-for-profit care home and all excess funds are invested back into the service to enhance care for residents.
Our fees
Most of our residents' placements are fully funded by the local authority. We also accept fully funded referrals for residents with more complex nursing and mental health needs from the local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The cost of both these options is set by a commercial framework agreement that Edensor is part of in conjunction with the Local Authority and CCG. Currently we do not apply any top-up charges above these rates.
Private and respite
We do have the facility to take a small number of privately-funded residents. Our rates are very much dependent on the unique needs of each individual and will be explained to you following a full assessment of your loved one's needs. As a guide, a private 'residential' placement will cost from £850 per week and a private 'nursing' placement will cost from £950 per week. - Monthly review of care plans
- Dedicated key nurse for each resident
- Access to our health and wellbeing psychologist
- All meals, snacks and drinks freshly prepared every day by our chef
- Montessori activities and lifestyle programme
- Regular entertainment
- All utilities and other accommodation costs
- Housekeeping and laundry services
Please note, the weekly fee does not include hairdressing, chiropody or other healthcare visits or appointments not covered by the NHS, toiletries, newspapers or magazines, unprescribed medications, or any other privately arranged healthcare. Hospital appointment transportation can be provided at an agreed hourly charge.
