Building relationships
We understand how important it is for you and your loved one to feel comfortable and have absolute trust in our care team. It is our policy to only use agency staff as a last resort so that residents can quickly build strong relationships with those looking after them.
Our staff are professionals from a variety of backgrounds who come together to provide an excellent level of care designed to improve your loved one's quality of life and ensure they truly feel at home. Edensor's team comprises Registered General Nurses (RGNs) and care staff trained in various levels of care to ensure they can meet your loved one's needs.
They are supported by our domestic and catering team, meeting our residents' nutritional needs and keeping the home clean and safe.
Leading the way
Good leadership of the home is critical to Edensor's successful operation.
To provide leadership of exceptional quality we do the following:
- Always engage a registered manager who is qualified, competent and experienced for the task.
- Aim to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere within our care community
- Install and operate effective quality assurance and monitoring systems
- Keep up to date records on all aspects of the home and residents
- Ensure the health and safety and welfare of services users and staff are promoted and protected
Striving for the best
We are a learning organisation - continually questioning if there is a better way and taking the initiative to improve our service. We are never afraid to challenge our own practice. We prefer to lead by example, with a positive mindset and push the boundaries of what is possible.
We have invested in Montessori for aged care and dementia training for our team because we believe this will significantly enhance the care your loved one will receive.
And we are striving to achieve the Gold Standard in delivering excellence in palliative and End of Life care because we know the significant difference this approach to person-centred care has on improving the whole family experience. We will always explore emerging best practices in search of further improvement and will support our staff to achieve this if appropriate.
